We are the Chadwell Tigers
At Chadwell Elementary encourage high levels of achievement and believe success is always possible. Every day, our Pre-K to 5th graders learn English/Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science and Related Arts. Students participate in one hour of personal learning time.
We offer after-school tutoring in the areas of English, math, reading, enrichment and computer skills (primarily to our 3rd-5th grade students). We also offer GATE, the district's program for gifted learners.
The Boys and Girls Club offers an after care program that help keep students engaged and growing in ways beyond their academic studies.
Our Music Makes Us program is a joint effort with Metro Nashville Public Schools, the Mayor's office, and music industry and community leaders. The program focuses on music literacy and student participation in a way that embraces new technologies and reflects our diverse student population.
Our Family Literacy Night, which coincides with our annual Book Fair, is always popular. Families visit different classrooms with reading activities, games or crafts. Grade-level teachers work with families to demonstrate the learning process that takes place in the classrooms on a daily basis. It's a fun time for all and a great community-building opportunity for our school family.
In addition, our school offers family and parent training sessions focused on a variety of topics in order to support parental involvement and engagement.
